Instructions
Soak the fruits: In a bowl, combine dried fruits with orange juice and let soak for at least 30 minutes for extra moisture.
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a round cake tin.
Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla essence.
Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
Combine: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Add soaked fruits along with any remaining juice.
